	SmartSolar The SmartSolar system makes it easy to automate gates and garage doors on unpowered sites, and provides the option for eco-friendly automation if desired. The SmartSolar range of renewable energy power sources offer cost effective and eco-friendly automation solutions for remote and residential applications. The SOL-2 SmartSolar Converter/Charger uses a single solar panel to charge 2 x 12V batteries, which in turn supplies the 24V required to operate Automatic Technology DC openers (see right for diagram). The only modifi cation is the removal of the opener’s transformer and power cord. Halving the costs Solar panels comprise the bulk of setup costs, thus by halving the number required solar becomes more affordable. Compatible with most Automatic Technology residential openers.
